| Purpose: |
To
oversee the fiscal health of the organization. |
| Membership: |
The
Finance Committee shall be chaired by the Treasurer.
The committee shall consist of up to five additional
members, appointed by the Treasurer and President
of the organization. |
| Term: |
Members
of the Finance Committee shall serve for a two (2)-year
term. Terms shall be staggered so as to not all
expire at the same time to the extent and as determined
by the Academy Board of Directors. |
| Meetings: |
The
committee must meet at least quarterly. |
| Functions |
Authority |
- Recommend
to the Board policies and fiscal planning measures
that ensure the financial health and stability
of the organization.
- Maintain
oversight over all income, expenditures, fund
and investments of the organization, making
adjustments as necessary.
- Review
the annual budget prepared by staff for presentation
to the Board of Directors
